Biography:
Brian Gitlin is Chief Operating Officer at Blanca Commercial Real Estate, Inc., the leading independently owned commercial real estate services firm in Florida. Mr. Gitlin will support the firm’s continued growth by managing all firm operations including advancing our technology initiatives. He will play an integral role in our continued growth by identifying new business opportunities, supporting the expansion of our service lines and establishing and creating a unique professional development strategy for brokers and staff.
With over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry, Mr. Gitlin has worked in both entrepreneurial and institutional environments. Most recently he worked at the University of Miami and was responsible for all real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and leases for the University and UM Medical. He was also the asset manager of the University’s real estate holdings totaling $400 million in value, as well as responsible for originating and managing the portfolio of over 200 leases consisting of approximately 800,000 square feet and totaling $100 million in value.
Previously, he worked at Agave Holdings, where he helped establish the operation in the United States and created the financial operating structure. At Agave, Mr. Gitlin also oversaw a portfolio of 950,000 square feet of office and retail assets with revenues of approximately $30 million and a valuation exceeding $350 million.
Mr. Gitlin’s extensive experience in developing real estate strategic plans; overseeing financial analysis and budgets (with overall profit and loss responsibilities); managing new transactions; asset acquisition, disposition and management; and property development coordination will bring tremendous value to our entire organization and clients.
